We received four sketches this month from Jimmy Burgher for which we are very grateful. The story behind these sketches is: they were the brain child of the late Joe Howlett (one-time owner and chairman of Auburn Leather), who felt so strongly about uplifting the image and appearance of Auburn that he got the TVA to commission these sketches. They were commissioned under the auspices of "TVA TOWNLIFT, Auburn, Kentucky."

Wouldn't it be nice if the "powers that be" would take this example and follow through with Joe's vision - Auburn's Urban Renewal.
